POLE BUILDINGS
Constructing pole buildings has been part of the Hoover Building Systems core work since the company's founding in 1972. Pole buildings include backyard garages, horse barns or outdoor office spaces. Our commitment to quality construction and craftsmanship are why so many people across South Carolina choose to work with us. Hoover Building Systems has two offices – one in Lexington and one in Greer – to serve both the Midlands and Upstate.
Protection From Start to Finish
Pole buildings require an investment of both your time and finances. That is why we are committed to doing the work the right way. Hoover Building Systems is licensed as a General Contractor in the States of South Carolina and North Carolina and meets all the state requirements.
All of our buildings are engineered to exceed the codes for the city, county and state. To ensure quality materials, all trusses are manufactured at Hoover to guard against defects in production. All of our working crews are insured to protect you from any liability from accidents.
Unseen Features
So much more goes into quality construction than what you can see from the outside. Hoover Building Systems includes features in our buildings that set us apart from the competition.
- Treated skirt board around the perimeter to increase the lifespan of the structure
- Pressure treated square 6×6 posts that are treated for termite protection
- In-house manufactured trusses with steel connector plates and bolts to protect the building from storms and winds
- 29-gauge Central States steel roofing and siding, backed by a lifetime limited warranty against chipping, peeling and cracking paint plus a 30-year fade warranty — so the finish holds its color for decades
A Variety of Features
Hoover Building Systems allows you to customize your building your way. Depending on the style and function of your building, you may need to tailor the project to fit your specific needs, like using a steel frame or other custom features.
If you have your own doors or windows that you would like to install in your building we will provide the framing to properly accommodate those features.
Pole Building FAQs
Pole buildings utilize square, pressure treated posts as the primary structural components along with wood trusses to support the roof. This type of construction is cost effective and highly customizable. Hoover buildings are constructed to the highest level and use .6 CCA treated lumber for all posts and skirt boards.
